VCI (volatile corrosion inhibitor) technology is a modern method used to protect ferrous and non-ferrous metals against negative impacts of corrosion and oxidation. It works by creating and aligning an invisible molecular layer on the metal surfaces. Such layer forms a barrier which prevents oxidation, rust and corrosion.
In comparison to traditional techniques, VCI packaging is very clean, easy to apply and a highly effective method.
Why use VCI paper ?
It has a slightly lower cost and has a faster diffusion ability in comparison to VCI film. VCI volatile molecules can reach the metal surface in a faster manner and commence protection against corrosion.
It offers ease of use in wrapping metal products.
Recommended usage:
VCI paper is available in various forms : kraft, crepe, laminated, jute, durable etc.
It is offered in different grades, sizes, thicknesses with stock and custom order options.
Best option of size and type is determined according to specifications of metal product it is intended to be applied to and related shipping-storing conditions.
Paper thickness is measured in kg/sqm. The thicker the VCI paper, the more protection it provides to the wrapped metal product.
